Locking washer

A locking washer is a thin, split ring typically made from spring steel. Its contoured edges engage with corresponding notches on the shaft and bearing housing, creating a frictional force that prevents the bearing from rotating axially (slipping along the shaft).

NKE Locking Washers function by creating a positive lock between the bearing outer ring, shaft, and housing. The washer's split design allows for placement around the shaft, and its contoured edges engage with notches on the shaft and housing. As the nut or sleeve is tightened, the washer deforms slightly, creating a clamping force that secures the bearing in its axial position. This prevents the bearing from axial movement, maintaining proper bearing pre-load and ensuring
